General Information

The National Recreational Excellence Competiton (N.R.E.C Spring Football) is the premier showcase for youth football talent across the United States, bringing together state champions and top-ranked recreational teams in a high-energy, nationally recognized tournament experience. Featuring a 6-team single-elimination national bracket with a two-game guarantee, the event ensures every team has the chance to compete at the highest level. Divisions span from 5U to 14U, giving young athletes of all ages the opportunity to prove they are the best in the nation. Exclusive invitations are extended to champions and elite teams from powerhouse states including Georgia, Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, DMV, Alabama, New York, California, South Carolina, and Louisiana, while national wildcard berths are awarded based on team rankings and performance resumes. The championship weekend shines bright with full livestream coverage, giving families, fans, and recruiters front-row access to the stars of tomorrow. Winners will hoist the prestigious Official NREC National Champion Trophy, and standout athletes will be honored with custom MVP Chains. More than just a tournament, NREC is a national stage designed for exposure, excellence, and unforgettable memories. The cost is $325 per team, with discounts available for multi-team organizations (save $25 for 2+ teams, $45 for 4+ teams). All athletes and coaches must possess an active ZortsID, and all eligibility requirements must be completed by May 15, 2026, at 12:00 AM EDT—with age eligibility determined as of July 1, 2026.
