5 Star Nation presents the 2nd Annual Battle in the Smokies - Turkey Bowl Classic Series in the state of Tennessee. All participants of each team must have a State ID, Passport, NSID, or ZORTS certified.

General Information

Welcome to the 5 Star Nation the 2nd Annual Battle in the Smokies - Turkey Day Classic Series that takes place in Johnson City Tennessee. In order to make sure you don't miss a beat and have an exceptional 5 Star experience, please read the following:

Certification Check-In (NSID , State ID , Passport Only):

Certiication Day: Nov 21th, 2 Hours before your first game
Bracket Play Day 1: Nov 21st
Bracket Play Day 2: Nov 22nd

1. Schedule:  Will drop Nov 16th, All teams must be available to start play Saturday Nov 22st . We will have a mandatory zoom call to release the schedule and discuss rules - Zoom Link Monday Nov 16th 7:00 PM CST. All teams will need a representative present .

2.  Team Check-in: will be Saturday, Nov 21st 2 hours before your first game at the game field. All players must be present .  We will cross reference the roster you submitted with the roster management form you will need to fill out when you register your team. 

We will only accept State ID, National Sports ID (Click Here), or Passports. 

3.  Games: First Round of Bracket play will begin Saturday, Nov 21st . Second Round of Bracket play will take place Saturday, Nov 22nd.

4.  Awards:

5 Star Champion will receive Championship Trophy, Individual Player Rings, MVP Award. 2nd Place will receive Medals

Admission (All Tickets Are Purchased by Events, Not Per Teams/Games)
Adults:  $15  per day; Weekend Earlybird Pass (on or Before 11/21/26): $25
Children Age: 5 - 13:  $10 per day
Children Age 4 and under: Free

There will be NO CASH accepted for entry at the gate.  You may use any other form of electronic payment (Credit/Debit Cards, ApplePay, GooglePay, SamsungPay, and CashApp).

There will be no outside food allowed on the premises. This include game snacks for teams. Teams will only be allowed to bring in team water and Gatorade in coolers. Only team coolers will be allowed that must come in with the team.  There will be police at the gate to enforce this mandate.

RULES

High School Rules . Clock stops on all regular football situations   

Clock will start ON THE READY WHISTLE after :
a)  Out of Bounds
b)  Incomplete passes
c) First downs
d) Penalties

Clock will start  ON THE SNAP (1st Touch)
a) Scores
b) Change of Possession
c) Time outs

SPECIAL TEAMS

PUNTING -  ONCE A TEAM CROSSES THERE SIDE OF THE 50 YD LINE  ..THEY MUST GO FOR IT.  

TOURNAMENT RULES

Start of Game: If  team is 15 minutes late,  game will be forfeited

6U- 10 minute quarters , 3 time outs per half , Clock stops on change of possession, and time-outs. 1 Coach allowed on field

- No kick-offs.  Ball will be spotted at the 35 yard line to begin the game.
- No Punts - Punts will be walked off 25 yds from line of scrimmage
- Extra points - Running 1pt , Throwing 2 pts
- Mercy Rule: After 20pt lead - Game will turn into running clock

MERCY RULE -NO BLITZING or LINING UP OVER CENTER.

7U/8U - 10 minute quarters, 3 time outs per half , Clock stops on change of possession, time-outs. No Coach’s allowed on the field.

- Kick offs Only - Punts will be walked off. Must go for it on 4th down when on your opponents side of the 50 yd line. (No walk offs)

- Extra points - Running 1pt, Throwing 2 pts
- Defensive players cannot line-up over center
- Mercy Rule: After 20pt lead - Game will turn into running clock - Mercy rule no blitz

9U-14U -10 minute quarters , 3 time outs per half , Clock stops on change of possession, incomplete passes and time-outs.

- Kick offs Only - Punts will be walked off. Must go for it on 4th down when on your opponents side of the 50 yd line. (No walk offs)

Overtime - In case of overtime, Ball will be placed on the 10 yd line. Each team will have the opportunity to advance the ball and score. (EACH TEAM HAS 4 PLAYS ONLY ... Should a penalty occur , then the penalty will be marked off and the play will count as a down... Last play cannot end on a defensive penalty) , If neither team scores the ball will be placed on the 5 yard line for each new overtime attempt, each team will get 4 plays to score.  One time allowed per team during overtime period.  There will be no ties.

Mercy Rule: After 20pt lead - Game will turn into running clock

Age Eligibility: All players must on official league roster in order to participate.  All players must wear wrist bands issued at certification for all games.

Weight: Weight is unlimited for this tournament.
