Welcome to the Naptown Classic Summer Kickoff Youth Football Tournament Presented by IYFA We’re excited to welcome you to the Naptown Classic Summer Kickoff, where youth football organizations from across the region come together for an action-packed weekend of competition and fun! Our goal is to provide every team with an excellent experience — full of energy, sportsmanship, and great preseason action. We wish the best of luck to all teams this weekend. Remember: preseason work is always good work, and Indianapolis is the perfect midpoint for some good fun and great football!

Welcome to the Naptown Classic Summer Kickoff!
We look forward to hosting your organization for an exciting weekend of competitive youth football.
Preseason work is always good work — and Indianapolis is the perfect midpoint for some fun and fierce competition!

 
Tickets & Admission
Tickets must be purchased in advance. No cash accepted at the gate.
Ticket information will be released with the schedule. Weekend passes will be available.

Team Option: You may choose between a player fee or an advance ticket fee.

 Team Check-In & Certification
Check-in: 1 hour prior to your first game
All players must be present for certification
Roster forms will be emailed today — please upload your players to the official roster
Players must have Sports ID or State ID cards
Wristbands will be issued at certification and must be worn all weekend
(No replacements or re-issues — no exceptions)
Players cannot be added after the first game
Certification Location: On-site, 1 hour before first game.

 
 Spectator Guidelines
Strictly Enforced – Violators Will Be Removed by Local Police

 No alcoholic beverages
No individual coolers (all coolers subject to search)
 No marijuana smoke
 No gambling
 No weapons or fighting

All spectators must wear a mask.

 
 Tournament Information
Ages: 5U – 14U
Games: 2 games guaranteed
Awards: 1st and 2nd place trophies in all brackets
Rules: High school rules apply
Game time is game time — if a team is 15 minutes late, it will result in forfeit (no exceptions)

5U / 6U
8-minute quarters | 2 timeouts per half
Coaches allowed on the field
No special teams (punts will be walked off)
Extra points: Run = 1 pt | Pass = 2 pts
No defensive player may line up over the center
Mercy Rule: 20+ point lead → running clock; no blitzing or lining up over center
No walk-off punts inside your own 50-yard line
 
7U / 8U
10-minute quarters | 2 timeouts per half
No coaches on the field
Kickoffs only; punts will be walked off
Extra points: Run = 1 pt | Pass = 2 pts

9U – 14U
10-minute quarters | 2 timeouts per half
Clock stops for change of possession, incomplete passes, and timeouts
Full special teams

Overtime Rules:

Ball starts on the 20-yard line
Each team gets one possession
If still tied → ball placed on 10-yard line, 4 plays to score
If still tied → penetration rule determines winner
 
 Uniforms
Home Team: White jerseys
Visiting Team: Dark jerseys
 
 Coaches
Professional conduct is expected at all times.

Any verbal or personal attacks on referees or staff will not be tolerated
One warning will be issued; second violation = ejection and suspension for next game
Coaches must wear team-issued shirts or spirit wear — no t-shirts, wife beaters, or flip-flops
Each team will receive 6 sideline wristbands only (issued once at registration)
Wristbands must be worn all weekend
 
 Parents & Fans
Parents are not allowed on the playing field

1st offense: 15-yard penalty
2nd offense: Head coach will be removed from the game
